Contemporary in feel, this lake house is layered in natural Cedar lapp siding and Rheinzink panels composed over a Bluestone base. Set on a lake bluff surrounded by a forest of ancient Oak trees, the inside materials palate is textural and warm with a slatted cedar wood ceiling, stone accents, Venetian plaster walls, walnut casework and dark painted window frames. The steel trusses, braces and railings reflect a slight Industrial tone, while the Japanese Shoji screened doorways provide lightness and elegance to complete this masterful project. Reminiscent of Ohio barns and nineteenth century stone farm buildings, this home was the vision of the homeowners and architect Sarah Nettleton.
